`Iolani
‘Iolani, or "Heavenly Hawaiian Hawk," must be a reference to the soaring panoramic views that these homes have high above Kailua Kona on the western flank of Mt. Hualalai. The ‘Iolani neighborhood has its own caché, developed over the past 12 years or so as fine ranch homes and carefully groomed landscape crept down the slopes from coffee country surrounding the Holulaoa community. Dazzling Kailua Bay below means sunsets year round and fun in or on the ocean at a whim.

Until recently we had to drive up Hualalai Road as the only access, creating a nice hidden, remote feeling there at over 1000’ elevation. This year the long awaited link directly down Lako St. to the Queen Kaahumanu Highway opened. Residents make it to shopping, restaurants, entertainment in the heart of town in minutes.
