RealtyTrac, a provider of data on the housing market, recently analyzed 32 million condo and single-family home sales over the past 15 years to evaluate whether buyers paid a premium or got a discount for buying on a specific date.
The best date to buy a home and get the biggest discount is based on a comparison of the average sales price on that date with the average estimated market value at the time of the sale.
